The Longwood University College of Business and Economics offers an online master of business administration (MBA) program with eight specializations: accounting, data analytics, economics, finance, general business, marketing, real estate, and technology management. What to Expect from Longwood University Online MBA Programs
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent from a college or university accredited by the appropriate institutional accreditation agency. To be considered for admission applicants must 1) have a completed bachelor’s degree from a university accredited by the appropriate institutional accreditation agency with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, or 2) have a completed bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a GPA between 2.50 and 2.74, as well as at least five years of professional level work experience.
Other prospective students who do not meet these criteria may still be considered for admission. In this instance, applicants should submit a letter of interest no longer than one page describing their motivation for seeking a Longwood MBA degree, copies of their transcripts, a resume, and, if necessary, a GMAT test score. The required application fee is waived for both active and former military personnel.

State Restrictions: Longwood University welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds, such as international applicants, military personnel, and transfer students.
The LU College of Graduate and Professional Studies welcomes applications from prospective international students. International students may complete an online graduate degree while remaining in their home countries. International student applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an accrediting organization accepted by LU before their first day of graduate coursework. Applicants who have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher from outside the United States must have an evaluation of their degree performed by either the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services or the Association of International Credentials Evaluators. International applicants whose primary language of instruction in their prior degree program(s) was not English must demonstrate English language proficiency via an English language proficiency testing provider.
The LU Office of Veteran and Military Student Services is responsible for assisting military students both during their application process and throughout their studies. Military students may be eligible for a variety of resources, including the Post 9/11 GI Bill for new students, the Montgomery GI Bill, Reserve Educational Assistance, the Veterans Educational Assistance Progra,m and much more. Military personnel are often offered a tuition rate equivalent to the in-state tuition rate or even lower. Study Plan: Students can complete the MBA program within as little as 10 months. Students interested in completing their program of study part-time or over an extended time period should contact a student services representative to verify current Longwood University policy regarding degree study planning.
MBA Curriculum: MBA students complete a 31-credit-hour curriculum consisting of 25 credits of core courses and six credits of elective coursework. This curriculum design is the same across all specializations. Core courses focus on the topics of strategic management and business policy; leadership, group dynamics, and team building; managing data for strategic decision making/data-informed decision making; managerial economics; strategic marketing; managerial accounting; financial management; and information technology. Online Experience: LU’s online MBA degree programs are offered fully online. This is true for all specializations. There is no on-campus coursework or other participation requirements to complete this program.

Paying for the LU Online MBA Degree Programs
The online MBA degree program tuition figures are listed in the tables below. Out-of-state students pay $480 per credit hour. Prospective students should closely review tuition information and contact LU for additional support with applications and questions as needed.
The LU Office of Financial Aid is responsible for assisting students with the financial aspect of their education both prior to admission and during their studies. Students often qualify for financial aid as a means of pursuing their education. In fact, a large majority of LU students receive some form of financial aid. To apply for financial aid, applicants submit the FAFSA as a means of determining aid eligibility. Many students may finance their education through a combination of grants, scholarships, private loans, and more.
