What to Expect from Pace University Online MBA Programs

Admission Requirements: The Pace University online MBA program is a competitive program designed for students who are both dedicated and self-motivated. Students must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution. However, an applicant’s undergraduate degree must not have been in business in order to qualify for admission. In addition, no prerequisites and no application fee is required. No GMAT/GRE score is required for admission for applicants who have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 as well as hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or are Lubin School of Business applicants who already hold a business-related master’s or doctoral degree. Other applicants who seek a waiver of GMAT/GRE scores are considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants must also submit a personal statement, a resume or CV, and official transcripts for all college-level coursework. Individuals may also submit up to two letters of recommendation, but such letters are not required.

State Restrictions: The Pace University MBA program welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds, such as international applicants and military personnel.

English language proficiency is required for student success in Pace University programs. It is therefore critical that international students have sufficient English language skills upon enrollment. Some international applicants will be required to prove their language proficiency via exam from an accepted English language proficiency exam provider. A list of accepted providers can be found on the Pace website. The language proficiency requirement is waived for citizens of some countries. Applicants with questions about this requirement should contact an enrollment specialist for assistance. International applicants should also be aware that Pace Online programs do not sponsor student visas.

Pace University also welcomes military personnel to enroll in its programs. Applicants with military backgrounds, such as active duty personnel and veterans, must submit an online application, a Member-4 copy of their DD Form 214, and their Joint Services Transcript (JST). Such applicants may seek a waiver of their application fee. Military students may also ultimately receive some academic credit for past military training and service. This credit is awarded after review of an applicant’s JST.

Military applicants, including veterans, reservists, and active duty personnel may also benefit from participating in Pace University’s Offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Admission Accelerated Admission Days. The Pace University Veteran Services Director is the main point of contact for all active duty and veteran students at Pace University. The Director is responsible for assisting veterans, active military students, and service family members with their interactions with various Pace University departments. The director receives support from the Veteran Services Team in providing ongoing support of Pace University’s military personnel student population.

Study Plan: Students can complete the Pace online MBA degree in one year of full-time study or two years when studying part-time. Students interested in completing their program of study over an extended time period should contact a student services representative to verify current Pace University policy regarding degree study planning.

Paying for the Pace University Online MBA Degree Programs

The online MBA degree program tuition figures are listed in the tables below. The tuition rate is the same for all specializations profiled on this page. Prospective students should closely review tuition information and contact Pace University for additional support with applications and questions as needed.

The Pace University financial aid webpage offers a variety of content dedicated specifically to graduate student financial resources. Current students and applicants will find information on available financial aid resources, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, the financial aid application process, a listing of policies and procedures relevant to financial aid such as satisfactory academic progress and leaves of absence, and a listing of financial resources that includes federal, state and third-party resources.

Many students will ultimately finance their education using a combination of resources. One common form of aid many students use is federal aid. To determine eligibility for federal financial resources students must complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA is released on an annual basis and is used to determine eligibility for a variety of federal aid. The Pace University Financial Aid Office can assist students with the FAFSA application process.

Some students may also qualify for financial resources due to their particular backgrounds. Military personnel are but one example. In some states, military students can qualify for resources from both federal government agencies, such as the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs, as well as state government. Active-duty military members are often eligible for financial aid, including Tuition Assistance (TA) programs, federal grants, loans, and work-study programs. Pace University programs specifically targeting military students include the Yellow Ribbon Program and the Pace Veterans Tuition Scholarship. All prospective graduate students are advised to thoroughly research the Pace University website and work closely with admissions and student services personnel in planning their education and its financing.
