What to Expect from Pace University Online MBA Programs

Admission Requirements: The Pace online MBA is a selective program intended for dedicated, self-motivated students.

Pace requires a completed undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university to enter the online MBA program, but there are no other prerequisites. Candidates from all fields are encouraged to apply.

Pace University Online MBA Programs

State Restrictions: The Pace University MBA program welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds, such as international applicants and military personnel.

English language proficiency is required for student success in Pace University programs. It is therefore critical that international students have sufficient English language skills upon enrollment. Some international applicants will be required to prove their language proficiency via exam from an accepted English language proficiency exam provider. A list of accepted providers can be found on the Pace website. The language proficiency requirement is waived for citizens of some countries. Applicants with questions about this requirement should contact an enrollment specialist for assistance.

Study Plan: Students can complete the Pace online MBA degree in one year of full-time study or two years when studying part-time. Students interested in completing their program of study over an extended time period should contact a student services representative to verify the current Pace University policy regarding degree study planning.

The online MBA features a curriculum composed of project-based courses focused on real-world applications. Learning by doing is central to our program. For example, students might create regression models and analyze data in one course, then build and run a business prototype in another.

MBA Curriculum: Pace’s online MBA degree programs feature a curriculum designed to educate students in core topics in business, including business economics, marketing performance, operations management, strategy, analytics, and more.

There are 10 required courses: business economics for decision making; financial accounting for managers; driving marketing performance; creating value through finance; business analytics and statistics; managing operations and projects; leading and managing teams; disruptive technologies and innovation; global business, ethics, and social responsibility; and strategic decisions (capstone course). Students of all three concentrations complete an additional nine credits of coursework focused within their concentration.

  • MBA Business Curriculum: Business concentration students complete three Lubin 600-level electives from a selection of elective courses. A full listing of available electives appears below.
  • MBA Corporate Finance Curriculum: Concentration course topics include behavioral finance; international corporate finance; and financial strategy and business decisions.
  • MBA Marketing Management Curriculum: Concentration course topics include value creation; strategic marketing planning; and consumer buying behavior.
  • MBA Electives: Available electives cover the following topics: advanced corporate finance; international corporate finance; financial strategy and business decisions; behavioral finance; legal environment of business; human resource management; consumer and organization buying behavior; marketing research; new product and service planning and development; strategic marketing planning; and value creation.

Online Experience: All Pace online MBA degree programs are offered fully online. There is no on-campus coursework or other participation requirements to complete this program.

On-Site Requirements: As noted above, the Pace MBA degree program is offered fully online. Students who would prefer to complete the program in person in New York City may complete Pace University’s on-campus MBA program option.

Paying for the Pace University Online MBA Degree Programs

Many students will ultimately finance their education using a combination of resources. One common form of support many students use is federal aid. To determine eligibility for federal financial resources, students must complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA is released annually and is used to determine eligibility for various federal aid programs. The Pace Financial Aid Office can assist students with the FAFSA application process.

Veterans and active-duty military members may qualify for additional financial resources from federal agencies, plus state resources in some locations. Pace offers military-specific aid, including the Yellow Ribbon Program and the Pace Veterans Tuition Scholarship.
