William Paterson University Online Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University (WP) offers a fully online master of business administration (MBA) program with a general path or one of the following concentrations: accounting, applied business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, healthcare economics and management, human resource management, marketing, and sales strategy. WP also offers a certificate program in international risk management. No campus visits are required.
The online MBA program can be completed in 12 months, and start dates land twice each in the fall, spring, and summer. Courses are asynchronous, with discussion boards and online chats to make the experience more interactive. The curriculum incorporates top-down leadership, management, career development, and decision-making topics to prepare graduates for management positions.
Students in all concentrations develop a personal strategic plan through goal setting, a personal branding strategy, and a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis. The MBA in accounting curriculum aligns with the current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification standards. The MBA program offers a variety of experiential opportunities to students, and WP is dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged students prepare for well-paying jobs.
The international risk management certificate program trains students in subjects including international business environments, investment analysis, international economic transactions, and more. Certificate program graduates have the training to effectively identify, assess and mitigate risk factors within both domestic and global financial marketplaces. This 15-credit-hour certificate program can be completed in as little as six months.
WP, located in Wayne, New Jersey, is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). WP’s MBA programs and certificate program are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).
