Northeastern State University Online Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Northeastern State University (NSU) was originally founded as the Cherokee National Female Seminary in 1846. NSU is the oldest institution of higher learning in Oklahoma. Between 1889 and 1909 the former seminary provided education for young women. NSU’s history as a state institution began on March 6, 1909. On this day, the Oklahoma legislature purchased the Female Seminary and created Northeastern State Normal School.
Ten years later, the school became Northeastern State Teachers College and began offering a four-year bachelor’s degree program. The college officially became Northeastern State University in 1978. Today, NSU is guided by its Cherokee Nation heritage as it continues offering an education to prepare its students to become leaders committed to a sustainable future for diverse communities in Oklahoma and elsewhere throughout the world.
The Northeastern State University MBA program offers an online master of business administration (MBA) program with eight specializations: business analytics; environmental, health and safety management; health informatics; healthcare administration; long-term care; managerial accounting and finance; Native American enterprise; and general management. NSU curricula is designed to provide an education relevant to the needs of local communities as well as the workforce needed for the future. NSU’s mission is defined by its commitment to its people, place, and purpose.
NSU has multiple campuses located throughout Oklahoma and has institutional accreditation granted by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The NSU MBA program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
