The ENMU online MBA program offers a master of business administration (MBA) degree featuring a generalist curriculum. Students may choose to complete a concentration of study in taxation and accounting or finance. Some careers MBA graduates may pursue include entrepreneur, business owner, general and operations manager, marketing manager, business operations specialist, management analyst, business researcher, and more.

What to Expect from ENMU Online MBA Programs
Admission Requirements: Admission to the ENMU online MBA program is open to a diverse applicant pool. Applicants may be offered either regular or conditional admission.
Applicants may be offered regular admission if they have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 and have completed the Common Professional Component (CPC) courses with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or have a Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score of at least 450 and have completed all CPC courses.
Conditional admission may be granted to applicants who have not completed all CPC courses. Applicants who successfully complete ENMU’s business foundations for MBA course will be considered to have fulfilled all CPC requirements and thus be eligible for regular admission.
Applicants with a cumulative undergraduate GPA and/or cumulative GPA on CPC courses of less than 3.00 but at least 2.50 may also be considered for conditional admission. Such consideration will be based upon a combination of their performance in the last 36 credits of their undergraduate degree, prior graduate degree performance, and relevant work experience. State Restrictions: ENMU welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds such as international applicants and military personnel.
International applicants to ENMU graduate programs must submit the following to be considered for admission 1) the free online application for graduate admission for international applicants, 2) all transcripts from previously-attended universities or colleges outside the U.S. after they have been evaluated by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member organization, and 3) a declaration of finance indicating sufficient financial resources to pursue study in the USA.
Students who plan to complete the online MBA program from their home country are not required to obtain a student visa. Students whose native language is not English may need to demonstrate their English language proficiency by taking an English language proficiency exam from an approved examination provider. Students needing to enhance their English language skills may benefit from an ENMU program in English language skills and American culture that may be taken concurrently to a student’s degree program coursework. ENMU is well respected for the resources it provides to military personnel including active duty personnel, veterans, spouses, dependents and others. In 2025 ENMU was ranked as one of the best colleges for veterans in America by Niche.com.
Though there is some difference between the application process for veterans and active duty personnel, military applicants in general must submit the following to be considered for admission: 1) an online admission application, 2) the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and 3) official copies of transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. Though transcripts are not technically necessary for admission consideration, they are nonetheless helpful to ensure that military applicants receive proper academic counseling prior to and after matriculation into their program. Veterans must also complete paperwork for VA education benefits, while active duty personnel must submit paperwork relevant to consideration for tuition assistance resources. All military applicants are also encouraged to explore scholarship opportunities as soon as they begin preparing to apply for admission.
Study Plan: Students can complete this MBA degree in as little as 12 months but cannot complete it in less than two semesters. All work for the degree must be completed within seven years from enrollment in the first course on the degree plan. Students interested in completing their program of study part-time or over an extended time period should contact a student services representative to verify current university policy regarding degree study planning.
MBA Curriculum: To complete the generalist MBA program, MBA students must complete a total of ten core courses, totaling 30 credits. These core courses cover the topics of accounting for managers; law, ethics, and social responsibility; managerial research analysis; integrative strategic management; managerial economics; managerial finance; information systems for managers; leading human resources; production and operations management; and marketing management.
All MBA students must complete a comprehensive integrative experience as part of their required coursework. This integrative experience is contained in the content of the aforementioned course topic of integrative strategic management. The format of the comprehensive integrative experience is determined each academic year by College of Business graduate faculty. Only students in their last semester are eligible to complete the comprehensive integrative experience.
Students also have the option to complete a concentration in either accounting and taxation, or finance. Details on the courses required for these concentrations appear below.
- MBA Accounting and Taxation Concentration Curriculum: Students complete nine credits of concentration coursework by completing three courses in the following topics: financial accounting; federal taxation; and assurance services.
- MBA Finance Concentration Curriculum: Students complete nine credits of concentration coursework by completing three courses in the following topics: international financial management; capital markets and institutions; and investment portfolio management.
Online Experience: The ENMU online MBA degree program is offered fully online. There are no on-campus coursework or other participation requirements to complete this program. ENMU’s use of an online learning delivery model for its MBA program expands its pool of qualified candidates beyond New Mexico and supports ENMU’s emphasis on diversity.
On-Site Requirements: As noted above, the MBA degree program is offered fully online. There are no on-campus requirements. Students who elect to nonetheless complete the MBA program while living in New Mexico and who need training to enhance their English language proficiency can benefit from the English language and American culture curriculum mentioned above.
Paying for the ENMU Online MBA Degree Programs

Prospective students should carefully review the tuition information and contact ENMU for additional support with applications and any questions they may have. ENMU has the second-lowest bachelor’s and master’s-level tuition in New Mexico and has one of the most affordable graduate tuition rates in the United States. Out-of-state students enrolling in six or fewer credits per semester are allowed to pay tuition and fees at the in-state rate.
The ENMU Office of Financial Aid assists ENMU students with the financing of their education. The office’s mission is to efficiently use its resources to help students plan for and successfully finance a quality higher education. The office is responsible for the administration of scholarship, grant, loan, and campus work-study programs. The ENMU website offers a wealth of information dedicated to student financial resources. Particular financial topics available online include information on financial aid eligibility and application forms, satisfactory academic progress policy, types of aid available, a net price calculator, and more.
Many students will ultimately use a variety of resources to finance their education. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a ubiquitous form issued annually that often serves as the primary application form used to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid. Universities generally provide substantial support in helping students understand and complete the FAFSA. Financial aid eligibility determinations generated by the FAFSA and other applications are often generated based on a number of factors, such as academic achievement, talent, financial need, and family background.
Students from certain backgrounds may be eligible for additional financial assistance. Examples of such backgrounds include military personnel and those with significant obstacles in their family and personal backgrounds. All prospective graduate students are advised to thoroughly research the ENMU website to guide them as they formulate their strategy for financing their education.
