Study Plan: The Jacksonville University Davis College of Business offers six sessions a year with eight-week online courses.

MBA Curriculum: Students gain knowledge of current theories and practices in global business environments, macro- and micro-economic factors in decision making, efficient resource management, and the strategic application of economic ideas to sustain high corporate performance. Specific emphasis is placed on the concepts of corporate responsibility, economic optimization, organizational behavior, demand analysis, profit analysis, business ethics, the characteristics of self-leadership, and the development of the oral skills necessary for effective management.

MBA-Management Curriculum: In addition to the general MBA curriculum, the management concentration provides a greater focus on developing management and leadership skills across a wide range of industries. The degree competencies include an understanding of the principles of leadership and ethics, as well as decision making, organizational change, economics, and human resources required to excel in top management positions.

MSABA/MBA Curriculum: A master of science in applied business analytics (MSABA) helps students develop the skills and knowledge required to apply statistical and management science models to strategy building and decision making in business. Students gain insight into the critical issues that business executives face in today’s dynamic organizations, as well as hands-on experience with data visualization and interpretation and project management.

Combined with the master of business administration, this MSABA/MBA dual degree program also allows students to gain knowledge of current theories and practices in global business environments, macro- and micro-economic factors in decision making, efficient resource management, and the strategic application of economic ideas to sustain high corporate performance. Specific emphasis is placed on the concepts of corporate responsibility, economic optimization, organizational behavior, demand analysis, profit analysis, business ethics, the characteristics of self-leadership, and the development of the oral skills necessary for effective management.

Online Experience: Jacksonville University uses an online learning management system called Canvas by Instructure. Students can access their classroom through Canvas, in which course content includes informative videos, interactive media, discussion boards, and chat rooms.

Online classes at JU are asynchronous, meaning that students do not have to be online at any particular time. Each week’s assignments and discussions are presented in an easy-to-follow format. Online students also have access to technical support, a student support representative, faculty support, and the JU Career Resource Center.

On-Site Requirements: The Jacksonville University MBA is offered 100 percent online. Students are welcome to visit campus and are encouraged to participate in the graduation ceremony on campus.
