Utica College Online MBA - Affordable, ACBSP-Accredited, 7 Specializations

Utica College offers an online MBA with a general track or in one of seven specializations: cyber policy, cybersecurity, data analytics, entrepreneurship, finance and accounting, healthcare management, and insurance and risk management. There is also an online economic crime and fraud management MBA.

The general online MBA and seven specializations were designed to prepare graduates with translatable skills that address current needs required by today’s employers. The specializations allow professionals to tailor their MBA to their desired career path. For example, the finance and accounting specialization prepares students to understand profitability and growth in relation to current economic forces, while the cybersecurity specialization imparts an advanced understanding of cyber intelligence and how it impacts privacy, institutions, businesses, and the government.

Utica College offers one of the most affordable accredited MBAs in the country at under $20,000 and the program is 100 percent online, providing flexibility for working professionals. MBA Graduates can gain competency in the following areas: leadership and management philosophies, data-driven decision making, ethics in leadership, budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting, marketing, planning, global supply and demand, and strategic analysis. A capstone course provides an opportunity to conduct a real-world application project with an organization to apply learning and skills to actual business situations.

Anyone with a BS degree, and two or more years of work experience, may apply to the online MBA program whether they have a business background or not. All students complete a pre-assessment that covers core business topics to assess knowledge and skills. Students without the necessary business knowledge go on to complete a set of self-study modules covering the topics that need work. Students then are able to enter the program confidently. Graduates enter a number of business fields depending on their chosen specialization.

Students seeking the economic crime and fraud management MBA need not have experience in these areas. The degree was designed for students looking to gain the necessary skills and training to enter the field of fraud management. It combines business with fraud management and is one of the only programs in the U.S. to do this. Students learn how to identify and prevent fraud using tools, technology, and products; to manage technology projects and programs; and to make leadership decisions using data intelligence, financial models, critical thinking skills, and quantitative analysis. Notably, Utica College is an education partner with the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) which provides tuition discounts to Utica students and helps prepare graduates for the CAMS certification exam.

Overall, graduates of the program are prepared to enter fields such as telecommunications, retail, credit card companies, banking, insurance and financial services. Utica College is located in Utica, New York.
