What to Expect from CSC Online MBA Programs
Admission Requirements: To be offered admission, applicants must submit an online application for graduate study via the CSC website as well as official transcripts from the regionally accredited college or university that awarded their bachelor’s degree and any other colleges/universities attended. The duration of time necessary for degree completion depends on several factors. For example, the Dean of Graduate Studies may require students to complete specific courses without earning academic credit to address any deficiencies in necessary knowledge for success in the MBA program.
State Restrictions: CSC welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds such as international applicants, military personnel, transfer students, and more.
The CSC Office of International Education assists international students with a variety of needs, such as the admission application process. Students seeking to study under the status of “international online student” should contact CSC directly to request information on admission requirements, as there is currently no information available for such applicants on the CSC website.
The CSC Veterans Affairs Office assists military-affiliated students with a variety of services, such as applying for VA education benefits and transfer credits. Military-affiliated students must submit a complete online application, official transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended, and an application fee. CSC does not require test scores but will accept them and may use them as a factor in making admission decisions.
Transfer and other students are advised to review the CSC website for guidance on how to apply to CSC’s MBA programs.
Study Plan: Students can complete these MBA degrees in as little as 24 months. Students interested in completing their program of study part-time or over an extended time period should contact a student services representative to verify current CSC policy regarding degree study planning. The MBA curriculum features 100 percent online courses of eight weeks duration. Students may transfer up to 18 credits from Wayne State or Peru State Colleges, and up to nine credits from other approved colleges or universities. Transfer credit policy is subject to the evaluation of both the Dean of Graduate Studies and graduate faculty.
MBA Curriculum: MBA students complete a 36-credit-hour curriculum consisting of core courses and elective courses. All students complete a series of core courses focused on the following topics: managerial accounting; information systems for managers; corporate finance; high performance leadership; organizational behavior; business strategy; legal and social environment of business; and marketing management.
Elective courses vary by degree specialization. A listing of elective courses specific to each specialization appears below.
- MBA – General Program Curriculum: Students complete a required course in managerial economics and then nine credits of coursework available in a variety of disciplines including accounting, marketing, finance, management, and business administration. Paying for the CSC Online MBA Degree Programs
The tuition figures for the online MBA degree programs are listed in the tables below. Prospective students should carefully review the tuition information and contact CSC for additional support with applications and any questions they may have.
The CSC website maintains a webpage dedicated specifically to graduate student financial resources. Topics listed on this page include the cost of attendance, financial aid policy, and financial resources such as grants, loans, work study, graduate assistantships, and the Non-Resident Scholars Program.
Graduate students may be eligible for various financial resources and often use a combination of resources to finance their education. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a widely used form that serves as the primary application for determining eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid. The FAFSA is issued annually, and universities typically provide robust support to help students understand and complete the FAFSA. Financial aid eligibility determinations generated by the FAFSA and other applications are based on several factors, including academic achievement, demonstrated talent, financial need, and family background.
Students from certain backgrounds may be eligible for additional financial assistance. Examples of such backgrounds include military personnel, first-generation students, and those with significant obstacles in their family and personal backgrounds.
