Online Business Schools in New Mexico (NM)

With cutting edge federal laboratories, innovative energy facilities, and scenic landscapes that draw tourists from all over the world, New Mexico is one of the most exciting climates in the United States for businesses and entrepreneurs.

Home to the Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories, New Mexico (NM) is the birthplace of numerous research and development initiatives in energy, medicine, and aerospace. Los Alamos National Laboratory alone results in an annual $3 billion dollar boost to the state’s economy.

New Mexico is also one of the top ten suppliers of energy throughout the United States and has made significant investments in wind power, expanding their capacity faster than any other state. With wide open spaces and sunny weather year-round, the solar and wind energy industries have flourished in New Mexico. In addition, New Mexico is the third largest producer of oil and has two major oil reserves: the San Juan Basin and the Permian Basin. The quickly growing oil and gas industry is one of the many reasons why New Mexico saw the most job creation out of any state economy in 2018. Those who want to explore New Mexico’s dramatic vistas or eat their way through Albuquerque’s diverse food scene may also want to work in New Mexico’s burgeoning tourism industry, which added $6.6 billion to the economy in 2017. The tourism industry has led to over 90,000 jobs and visitor spending has increased by almost $1.5 billion since 2010.

With a growing economy and plenty of exciting fields to choose from, those looking to take the next step in their professional career may want to consider an MBA. In addition to increasing earning potential and networks, an MBA also provides valuable training in management, organizational processes, and financing. MBAs can provide general coursework for entrepreneurs who need to be hands-on in all components of a business, or provide a deep dive for those who wish to learn more about a specific field. Those who are continuing professionals or have busy schedules should have no fear about taking on an MBA program. Many colleges and universities provide fully online or hybrid MBA programs where students can learn and excel at their own pace.
