Many universities offering online programs recognize that adding a master’s degree to an MBA enables students to bring specialized knowledge to the workplace, achieve greater career advancement, and become much more competitive in the job market.

Dual degree programs allow motivated students to earn two degrees in a shorter period of time than it would take to earn two degrees separately by applying overlapping coursework to the completion requirements of each degree program. While many dual degree programs are available 100 percent online, students living close to a university can often choose to do some of the program in a hybrid on-campus/online format. There are dual degree MBA programs in nursing, management, engineering, healthcare, public health, and other in-demand disciplines to advance graduates’ careers.
