St. Ambrose University offers a fully online MBA with a general track or in one of three concentrations: leadership, human resource management, and marketing management. The degree can be completed in just 14 months and tuition is competitive.

Human resource management concentration courses focus on career management, performance management systems, conflict and negotiation, training and development, and employee relations. Marketing management concentration courses focus on marketing research and strategy, consumer behavior, ethical issues in marketing, advertising, international marketing, and case analysis.
The St. Ambrose University online MBA begins twice each in the fall and spring, and once in the summer. Eight-week course sessions run in the same schedule. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 to apply. The GMAT/GRE is not required. Admission consideration is given to work experience, professional and academic achievements, and life experiences.
Graduates of the St. Ambrose University online MBA may go on to careers such as business manager, financial analyst, corporate recruiter, marketing manager, human resources manager, or chief operations officer (CEO).

What to Expect from the St. Ambrose University Online MBA
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher. The GMAT/GRE is not required. Work experience is considered for admission. Application materials include an online application, two letters of recommendation, and a professional portfolio including an essay addressing the required information.
Study Plan: St. Ambrose University students can complete the online MBA in just 14 months. Both full-time and part-time plans are available. Courses run twice per semester in eight-week sessions in the fall and spring, and once in the summer with corresponding program start dates. Note that in order to complete the degree in 14 months students must begin the program in the fall or spring terms.
Courses are 100 percent online with no campus visits or internships required. Before registering for the first class, students must complete the pre-enrollment assessment exam. At the end of the program in the strategic management course, all students take the outbound assessment exam.
Online MBA Curriculum: The St. Ambrose University online MBA comprises 36 credits including four concentration courses. Core courses may include Data analysis for decision-making; ethical and social responsibility of business; accounting for managers; human behavior in organizations; managerial economics; financial management; marketing management; and strategic management.
Students then take four concentration courses. The general MBA track concentration courses can be completed by choosing any combination of four courses from any of the concentrations.
Students in the leadership concentration choose four courses from the following: leadership theory; leadership communication; conflict management; leading organizational change; leaving through people skills; and dialogics.
Human resources management concentration course choices include labor-management partnerships; compensation and benefits management; training and development; strategic staffing and career management; contemporary employee relations and dispute resolution; conflict and negotiation; and performance management systems.
Marketing management students complete advanced marketing research; marketing strategy; and consumer behavior. They then choose one of the following: international marketing; marketing case analysis; advertising; and ethical issues in marketing.
Online Experience: St. Ambrose University utilizes the Blackboard Learn online learning management system (LMS) to deliver asynchronous online courses. Courses are designed to have a real-world application of theory and principles.
Faculty members are committed to student success and bring a wealth of academic training and experience to the online classroom. Online student services may include academic advising, faculty office hours, a bookstore and library, technical support, financial aid support, and career counseling.
On-Site Requirements: There are no on-site requirements as the St. Ambrose University online MBA is 100 percent online.
